Health/P.E.- Special |

The Special P.E. program is designed to meet the needs of many special students.
These students include those who have mental and/or physical disabilities.
These disabilities impact their education and employability. During the
year, we take several trips to the bowling alley, the Special Olympics,
and Windy Hill sports complex. The students will participate in various activities, such as: fitness skills, volleyball, badminton, tennis, track & field, bowling, golf, and basketball. Fitness Center The fitness center will be used for daily warm-ups and full fitness work outs. Students may use a stationary bike or step machine for aerobic conditioning. Students may also then do a series of stretches for flexibility. They learn to properly use variable weight machines on their own and keep a fitness log documenting their progress in the fitness center. On non-conditioning days we still have a warm-up session then move on to the activity for the rest of the block. |
