Mildly Mentally Disbaled
The MIMD program provides a variety of practical, hands-on instruction that develops and maintains related behaviors critical to success in the real world. Many students also participate in school based and community employment opportunities on a volunteer basis before they graduate. Some of these training opportunities develop into permanent positions.
Academically, we offer math, English, civics, and pre-vocational classes and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities that improve, recognize, and celebrate their achievements, thereby fostering a sense of belonging to James River High School.
